This comes hot of the heels of the recently teased Overwatch 2 collaboration, indicating that this could be a new era between Hasbro and Activision. Who knows what other surprises may come as a result of this, but the future might look bright when it comes to Transformers and gaming.

Note: The prices are shown on COP currency.

Interestingly, the games do not seem to be currently showing up on the PlayStation store, this all leads us to believe it could be a result of the recent Activision Blizzard buyout by Microsoft, the games seem to be the own native version on Xbox as they are not marked as “Backwards compatible” but in the same menu as other regular Xbox games, funnily enough War for Cybertron in particular shows up on Steam but it’s missing on Xbox.

Hasbro Releases An Official Statement On The Supposed Lost Transformers Games https://www.allspark.com/hasbro-releases-an-official-statement-on-the-supposed-lost-transformers-games/ Tue, 01 Aug 2023 22:13:36 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=9238 To follow up on our previous article about the Delisted Transformers Games, we have an update from Hasbro themselves.

While we never outright said that they were lost, a lot of headlines in articles on other sites have suggested that over the past few days. Hasbro has reached out to let us know the following:

To clarify, comments that suggest TRANSFORMERS games have been lost were made in error. We apologize to Activision and regret any confusion; they’ve been great partners, and we look forward to future opportunities to work together.”

Activision themselves even commented on the rumor that the games were lost.  Chief Commercial Officer and Executive VP of Corporate Affairs at Activision, Lulu Cheng Meservey tweeted the following:

With the toys now showing up on the shelves, will we see these games return soon?

Hasbro Wants The Delisted Transformers Games Added To Game Pass! https://www.allspark.com/hasbro-wants-the-delisted-transformers-games-added-to-game-pass/ Mon, 31 Jul 2023 16:49:28 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=9181 Want to play some awesome Transformers games like Fall of Cybertron on your PC?  You may be in luck soon….

According to Game Rant, Hasbro has talked about its previous games coming to Game Pass now that Activision is being bought by Microsoft.  While the games, like War for Cybertron and others, were delisted from places like Steam and other digital storefronts when Activision’s licensing deal expired in December of 2017, maybe this is a hint that Microsoft and Hasbro are in talks to bring these fan favorite games back. That would certain mesh with the upcoming Transformers Studio Series Gamer Edition figures. Stay tuned for more details as we get them.

A look at “Transformers: 2nd Strike”, the PSP Armada game port that never was https://www.allspark.com/a-look-at-transformers-2nd-strike-the-psp-armada-game-port-that-never-was/ Tue, 09 Nov 2021 14:36:20 +0000 https://www.allspark.com/?p=1093 Transformers fans tend to have fond memories of the Playstation 2 Transformers Armada video game, with the constant clamor for a Titan class Tidal Wave almost certainly inspired by that memorable game level.

Much less familiar to fans, is Transformers: 2nd Strike (Rebirth)… because this PSP port of the Playstation 2 game was ultimately canceled. Today, however, thanks to the efforts of a helpful Allspark Discord user, we can find out more about the would-be strategy game port of one of Transformers’ better video games, via a proof-of-concept video.

This is described as follows:

“This is only a pitch or proof of concept. As a result, there is no guarantee that if a PSP port was made, it would follow this gameplay style. When discussions were held about porting Transformers: Armada (PS2) to the PSP, a pitch was submitted which re-imagined the game as a strategy game re-using assets from the PS2 title. Notwithstanding the fact that the PSP lacks a second joystick and trigger buttons, it was thought that a strategy game would fit the system better. Unfortunately, a PSP port never materialized due to Atari selling the Transformers license to Activision shortly after the first Michael Bay Transformers movie was announced. “

And here’s the video!

What would you have liked to see in a PSP port of the Playstation 2 Armada game? Let us know at the Allspark Facebook page, on our partnered Discord at discord.gg/allspark, and on the Allspark Forums!
