Honestly, it not looking quite right is part of the charm to me, since they're supposed to be undercover. It's just the right level of "off" to make him feel like something is amiss...Please do not take this as an insult to those who do like Animated, but I have just never liked the Motormaster design because I hate Animated aesthetics. The only animated toy I still have in my possession is a heavily customized Arcee figure that I turned into a new character with Prime Airrachnid's head.
That being said, I can respect what they were trying to do with him. They were trying to give him this big, bulky persona of a wrestler (which I despise wrestling as well so that's another negative against him) which I think they did a decent job with back with the original BotCon design. Hasbro was just trying to stay faithful to that original design, which even if you question the aesthetics, I think they did a good job of.
The box kinda makes me think of Scott Steiner's chainmail hood. Wrong wrestler (and Steiner's a dick), but I can at least sorta make a connection.
Ah, damn it, now THAT'S got me vaguely interested, him hitting folks with The Motor Math.
That's precisely what I was thinking...
"You know, they say that all bots are created equal, but you look at me and you look at Optimus Prime and you can see that statement is not true. See, normally if you go one on one with another Cybertronian, you got a 50/50 chance of winning. But I'm a genetic freak and I'm not normal! So you got a 25%, AT BEST, at beatin' me. Then you add Sentinel Prime to the mix, your chances of winning drastic go down. See, the 3-way at Sacrifice, you got a 33 1/3 chance of winning, but I, I got a 66 and 2/3 chance of winning, because Sentinel KNOWS he can't beat me, and he's not even gonna try!
"So Optimus Prime, you take your 33 1/3 chance, minus my 25% chance and you got an 8 1/3 chance of winning at Sacrifice. But then you take my 75% chance of winning, if we was to go one on one, and then add 66 2/3 per cents, I got 141 2/3 chance of winning at Sacrifice. See, Op, the numbers don't lie, and they spell disaster for you at Sacrifice!"
